Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011); spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a contributor to the election to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki began her career in 2001, as an official political contributor for CNN. She worked on campaign for re-election of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki became John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to the year 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. [20] There was speculation that she would succeed Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she was there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
